TESTIMONIALS
"Nick has been working with my son for 7 years starting initially on piano and then expanding to vocals, songwriting, recording, mixing, arranging, and publishing music. His teaching style allows my son both space to explore his creative instincts while also developing technical skills and knowledge of music theory. Nick has been indispensable in supporting my son’s drive to create and record his own music including important skills such as negotiating band member relationships and learning how to create alongside others. Nick also worked with our daughter for 3 years as a vocalist lending his foundation in opera to helping her discover more power and confidence in her own voice. We consider Nick a part of the family and appreciate his thoughtful, supportive spirit during lessons, as well as his willingness to push back and challenge our son. Whatever my son brings to lessons, Nick is always game to work on it, talk about it, listen to it…He is a gift, and we are so grateful for his influence in helping them discover who they are as both artists and humans. The BEST!!!”

"Long before Covid began, Nick started teaching my son piano, when my son was only 9 or so. Nick was amazing at recognizing my child's interests and strengths and building his piano lessons around them. It is now years later, and my son is almost 15. Nick is still teaching him piano every week, and is one of my sons most consistent role models! Nick still tailors his lessons to my son's interests, and he sends home detailed and supportive notes after every lesson! Anyone would be lucky to have Nick teach their child music!”

"I’ve been taught piano by Nick for a large portion of the time I can remember being alive, and a large part of the reason I’ve stuck with it so long is because of him. Nick engages with me and makes lessons interesting by asking me what I want to learn or practice, meaning I actually get to meet goals I’ve set myself and do things I’ve always wanted to do. Rather than teaching me the fundamentals and then letting me learn other things I want outside of lessons, Nick bases his lessons more around my interests when learning piano and less around a sort of set curriculum. Despite this, I still have received a well rounded piano education because he makes sure to touch on everything necessary when I want to undertake some kind of project. He also makes sure to send notes reflecting on our lessons which I can use as refreshers to what we did that lesson when I practice. Nick makes my lessons fun and something to look forward to rather than how some extracurriculars can feel like more of an annoyance. Nick is a great teacher and can teach and support anybody with an interest in learning music.”
